Fruits for Health and Digestion

DID YOU KNOW ABOUT YUMMY FRUITS?

Did you know that fruit is healthy? Many fruits have antioxidants, Fiber, and are low in calories. I want to tell you about raspberries and blackberries and how they can help you stay healthy. As I grow older, I find that natural foods digest and fill me up much better than “junk” foods.

The first yummy antioxidant is red raspberries! What a tasty treat that can help fight off cancer and keep you healthy! The National Cancer Institute note that antioxidants from dietary sources may help protect the body from lung, esophageal, gastric, and other types of cancer.(1)

In 2010, scientists treated stomach, colon, and breast cancer cells with an extract of Meeker red raspberries. The extract killed more than 90% of the cells.(2) The researchers estimated that antioxidants were responsible for about half of the destruction of breast cancer cells. Breast cancer has taken a couple of my friends! I wish I knew this before so that I could tell them about it!

It can even help you poop regularly! J According to Medical News Today, “One cup of raspberries contains 8 grams (g) of fiber.”(3) For me, staying healthy is important! The problem is that I love food! The more I learn about healthy foods, the more I want to eat fresh and stop eating junk food!

The next scrumptious fruit is blackberries! Yum! This list just keeps getting better and better! According to Healthline, “Blackberries are a great option to satisfy your sweet tooth if you want to lose weight or you’re on a low-carb eating plan. One cup of raw blackberries has only 62 calories, 1 gram of fat, and only 14 carbs. This makes them easy to add to a healthy eating plan.”(1) Count me in for this delicious snack! And here is another fruit that is high in fiber! I can see my poop becoming regular very soon!

I have enjoyed writing this article. I have learned that some of my favorite fruits can possibly prevent me from getting cancer. I have also learned that, while eating these fruits, it may help more nutrients get into my body! The best thing is that I might be able to poop on a regular basis. For those of you who don’t know, an autoimmune disorder means that your body attacks itself instead of letting the nutrients in.

Thank you for reading my blog! I will be getting more information on super foods! I look forward to learning together on this journey of health!

God Bless in all that you do!

Julie
